Thank you for reading!

head shot 3Hi friends! This is a photo of me at the global AIDS conference in Mexico City in 2008, where I reported on indigenous peoples’ AIDS activism in Oaxaca for the Solidarity Project. I edited the Solidarity Project, an internet newsletter produced by CHAMP, the Community HIV/AIDS Mobilization Project, for several years, and I’m deeply grateful for the mentoring and support of my longtime friend Julie Davids, who made that possible. I set up this blog to archive the Solidarity Project’s articles in a searchable format, because some of the original research and interviews we did for these articles broke new ground in thinking about AIDS and social justice movements. Since the Solidarity Project ended a few years ago, I’ve also written new posts here as the spirit moved me.

As I move on from posting on this blog, I’m excited to concentrate my energy on Prison Health News and an oral history project about the Student Liberation Action Movement (SLAM!). But I hope that AIDS activists, students, people who love freedom, organizers of all stripes, and curious readers will keep exploring what is to be found here. Enjoy!
